Leslie Branon Montz was born and raised in Lamesa, Texas. She is a 1999 graduate of Lamesa High School. Leslie earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Arts and Technoloy in Interior Design in 2004 from Texas State University-San Marcos. She worked in Dallas in the Interior Design industry for several years before attending mortuary school. She is a 2007 graduate from Dallas Institute of Funeral Service where she earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Funeral Service. In late 2007 Leslie joined the family business as General Manager. She is married to Richard Montz. Richard and Leslie became co-owners when Mike passed away in January of 2015. Leslie is a member of the Epsilon Chapter of Pi Sigma Eta, an honorary funeral service fraternity and the National Funeral Directors Association. She is a licensed insurance agent specializing in prearranged funerals. She is a fourth generation funeral director and embalmer and currently owns and operates Branon Funeral Home.
Richard Montz was born in New Iberia, Louisiana. He was raised in Erath, Louisiana and graduated from Erath High School in 1997. Richard is a veteran of the United States Air Force having served for six years. He is a 2007 graduate from Dallas Institute of Funeral Service where he earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Funeral Service. He is married to Leslie Branon Montz. Richard and Leslie became co-owners when Mike passed away in January of 2015. Richard is a member of the Lamesa Rotary Club and the National Funeral Directors Association. He is a manager at Branon Funeral Home and a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer.
Linda was born and raised in Lamesa, Texas graduating from Lamesa High School in 1980. She later attended Howard College, then worked in law enforcement for 6 years before beginning her employment with Branon Funeral Home in 2004. She graduated from Amarillo College with a degree in Mortuary Science. In the past she has served on the Lamesa ISD School Board and the Lamesa Park Board. Linda enjoys serving Branon Funeral Home and the families she meets on a daily basis. She also enjoys traveling with her family and husband, Rick of 16 years. Together they have 5 children and 4 grandchildren.
